Yesterday marked the beginning of a new series entitled “Confessions of an Imperfect Mother”. You can read all the details and learn the purpose of this series here.
Today, I’m sharing my first confession, it’s a simple one, but something that I’ve felt guilty about for far too long.
My son eats a lot of these:
I know, not the most nutritious meal option… but, I hate cooking, and my son always eats dinner at least an hour before my hubby and I do so whenever I don’t have dinner ready yet (which is a lot) he gets one of these. He loves them. He every last bit. Usually I buy the ones with fish sticks or chicken nuggets, but today he got pizza.
I’m not a perfect mom. I don’t make all my kid’s meals (from scratch or otherwise).
So, some encouragement for today, remember to focus on the things that really matter, like loving and taking time out to really play with your kids and snuggle them, and teach them about God. Don’t beat yourself up so much over the little imperfections in your life that you miss out on the beautiful time that God has given you with your kids.

oh this made me laugh and made my day. I have three children, my youngest is 3. I hate trying to figure out lunches for her, as that time of day at my house is full of crazy. Needless to say she eats A LOT of macaroni and cheese….just replace you Kid Cuisine with an Easy Mac tub and some apple slices and voila….my house. So happy to find this blog!

oh you HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MOTHER!!!
my kid never eats those.
no…
he eats spaghettios
and hot dogs
and american cheese
and don’t even get me started on french fries
I think that every mom has these “cheat foods.” I try not to make it the norm but I also hate cooking. He eats a lot of fruit, likes broccoli and peas, and yogurt, and a lot of other great foods, but yes, we eat a ton of “unhealthy” stuff too. I really really hate it, but he has to eat too ya know?!?!?
so you are not alone. :)

Oh how I love to hear this, it helps to remind me I’m the same amongst millions of Mom’s…mine it cereal, or Marmite on Toast or noodles. She’ made it to age 13 and is doing just fine :-) Glad to have found your blog.
