I am so happy to have the opportunity to let you know about an awesome author, Shannon O’donnell and her incredible new book! Shannon let me read the book manuscript before it was officially launched, and let me tell you, this is an awesome book.
To be 100% honest with you I have to let you know, I’m not normally a fan of Christian fiction, because I feel like a lot of the time the writing and plot lines are just not that interesting because the author is trying too hard to make it a “christian” book. I was prepared for that to be the case with this book but was pleasantly surprised to find my stereotyping of christian novels is completely wrong when it comes to Love’s Memory.
The characters in Shannon’s book are all very rich and relatable people. I could see myself in many of their situations and I loved that I could experience their joys and pains right along with them. I didn’t want to put this book down, I just had to see what would happen next! The plot line is griping and the gospel is presented multiple times throughout the book. It is a story of hope, and of (dare I say it) true love. Not the fairy tale kind, but the self-sacrificing kind that makes marriage beautiful.
The book had me tearing up at one point, and that is NOT something I often do when reading. It has only happend a handful of times, and only when I can feel such a strong emotional attachment to the characters in the pages. I definitely recommend this book to all of you! and I hope that you will take some time to visit Shannon’s launch page, buy her book and get in on all the fun we are having with the launch!
