Winter is coming soon! Even though the coldest it has gotten down here is 50-something my 3 year old seems convinced it will start snowing any minute! I am never a fan of cold weather, and driving with a potential for ice or snow just seems like a terrible idea to this Southern girl!
But drive we must, so I thought it would be a good reminder to share 5 things you need in your car this winter!
1. Extra Gloves/mittens & Socks – Kids never remember to bring all the right things at the right times. Stock extras in the car for the things that will inevitably be forgotten.
2. Snacks – Snacks in the car is a year-round must, but especially in the winter! You don’t want to be stuck somewhere without food for yourself and your kiddos. Kiddos with full bellies = happy kiddos!
3. Car Charger – Make sure you have a car charger for your phone, so you are never stuck in the cold without a way to contact help.
4. First Aid Kit – Spare Bandages and ointments just in case! You can never be too safe!
5. Chap stick – Chapped lips are the worst, keep a tube in your car so you don’t lose it (am I the only one that always misplaces my chap stick tubes?) and always have it on hand in the cold!
Bonus – Something you need ON your car, is new tires! – Now through October 31, with the purchase of a new set of four qualifying Cooper tires at participating retail stores Cooper is offering up to a $70 Visa® prepaid card on popular passenger and light truck tire lines! What an awesome Fall Reward Event to get us ready for Winter!
