I know a lot of college students starting back to class this week, so I am guessing you do too! As they are off across states or even halfway across the country, it’s fun to start thinking about what care packages to send them.
Here’s a fun care package checklist:
- Cookies – always send cookies!
- Gift cards – Cash might be blown on something they don’t really need, but a gift card for gas or groceries can help make sure your money goes towards helping them get by.
- A planner – they might not believe you right away, but eventually planning needs to happen. If they are the pen and paper type you can send one in a care package, if not get them a calendar app like things or todoist.
- Pens – Because they are always lost. We all need more pens in our lives.
- Disposable razors from Schick® – For girls I always like to do the Schick® Quattro and they have a Schick Hydro® 5 Razor. These are disposable so it won’t matter much if a roomate “borrows” them or they get left in a locker room, BUT they quality is amazing! Your college student can get a great shave to help them look and feel their best every day. It’s like sending a confidence booster in the mail!
- Other toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant…all those things that their parents always provided, that they didn’t realize racked up so much money, so fast! You will do them (and their friends) a huge favor by making sure their bathroom is fully stocked at all times!
What would you pack in a back to college survival kit? Do you ever send them to your kids or college age friends?
