This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Disney Junior at Walmart for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
One of the things my husband and I love doing is making one on one time for each kiddo. My husband usually takes the kids out to eat somewhere on their one on one nights. The kids talk about it for days afterward and whichever child didn’t get to go eagerly awaits his or her turn.
This week, my daughter and I got to spend some special time together. We found some Disney Jr. Minnie Mouse items in Walmart and she GASPED at how “beautiful the dresses are mommy!”
She loves shopping already and is getting to the point where she’s quite opinionated about her own clothes. She’s been in a dress phase, where she always wants to be wearing something that she can twirl in and that makes people comment about how pretty she is. We got both of her choices in the store, the Minnie Mouse Toddler Girl 2-Fer Dress (“It looks like it has a jacket mommy!”) and the Minnie Mouse Toddler Girl T-Shirt Dress.
After getting her new dresses for school we went ahead and walked over to the toy isle to find something new to play with. She chose a new Disney Minnie Bowtastic Kitchen Playset. She and her brother both LOVE playing kitchen together. They “cook” pretend food for me a lot, and restaurant is one of our absolute favorite games.
She made me cupcakes and eggs (in the shape of Minnie Mouse, of course!), soup and more. Her favorite stuffed animals and I had QUITE the feast that she and chef Minnie Mouse prepared for us. The little kitchen makes noises so Minnie talked to her while she was cooking. She loved it!
We had the best time playing together yesterday, and today she had to head back to preschool. While she was gone I ended up having to make another trip to Walmart to get some last minute things for a beach trip tomorrow. While there I came across the cutest little Minnie Bow-Tique Fancy Bows Dress with Headband! I decided to get it and hang it on her doorknob as a surprise for after school.
She got home from school, saw the dress and there were more gasps and squeals and a shout of “can I try it NOW MOMMY?!!??!?!”
She put it on right away and began twirling around. She even gave me a turn with the Minnie ears so we could both play “dress up”. She’s definitely my #MinnieMe
This was our special day together, and it was fun sharing all the magic with her that Disney has to offer! She might even use this as her Halloween costume this year! She’s certainly LOVING it so far!!!
I am getting excited for her being old enough to LOVE the same Disney movies, products and shows that I do, and one day (hopefully soon) we’ll be able to take her to Disney to meet the princesses and Minnie Mouse in person! I can only imagine the sparkle and magic in her eye on THAT special day!!!
How do you and your little ones spend one on one time? Does your little girl love Minnie as much as we do?

I have 4 kids and try to make it a point to spend one-on-one time with them whenever possible, even if it’s just a trip to the grocery store.
