Motherhood and wine. They just go together like peanut butter and jelly! We always talk about counting down until bedtime. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. It’s because we’re ready to have a glass of wine and a moment to ourselves!
Here’s the thing. Motherhood is awesome. We love it. But sometimes when moms get together, the CRAZIEST stories come out. You can’t even make this stuff up. Life with kids is so nuts.
This is something most people accept to be true, however there’s nothing like experiencing it first hand.
I remember the day I realized for sure that my life would never be the same. I was spoon feeding the baby who was just starting on rice cereal. My back was to my toddler who had a snack of his own to enjoy.
Everything was going well for awhile. Then I started to feel some movement at the back of my jeans. Kids grab at their moms all the time, this didn’t seem to be cause for alarm. Until I felt something cold and wet on my bottom. And I realized my so was SPOONING APPLESAUCE INTO MY JEANS POCKET. Who even does that? Who spoons applesauce into another person’s pants? My kid. That’s who.
I busted out laughing. It was entirely too insane and the perfect snapshot proving just how much my life had changed.
And it’s the perfect story to tell other moms over a glass of wine. One of motherhood’s most wineable moments.
Last week I had 5 friends over to enjoy some wine and snacks. I pulled out the Butter Chardonay and we had the best time swapping stories and laughing at what life has become.
It was a first time for all of us trying the Butter Chardonnay and we were not disappointed! It had a creamy rich texture with ripe notes of stone fruits and baked lemons! It is aged in a proprietary blend of oak which adds a wonderful vanilla finish. It was amazing! And Perfect for swapping those crazy wine-able moments of motherhood.
If you joined us one night for wine you might hear about how phrases like “son, I’m so proud of you for wearing pants without being asked”, is a thing I say now.
Or how it’s not uncommon for the little people in my house to applaud me when I use the restroom.
I might tell you about the time my daughter had her very first picture day at preschool ever. And naturally it was held three days after she fell of something and fractured her skull. So she had crazy hair and a huge bandage on her head because three year olds like to keep you on your toes.
I wish you could’ve joined us, but you can at least get some of the wine yourself using the handy wine finder. Then, pour yourself a glass and leave a comment to tell me about your most wine-able motherhood moment lately! I’d love to share a giggle and and a glass with you!
