Every mom I know has felt the pressure to do everything right for the new baby. To have the perfect birth, the perfect plan and give the new baby a perfect life.
Moms try so hard to be perfect, and it is nothing short of exhausting.
As you head off to your next baby shower, take a moment to think about what you really needed when you were a brand new parent.
Ok, not sleep. That’s the only thing we can’t really help with isn’t it?
But what else?
I’m excited to be partnering with IncrediBundles.com to talk about a few things that new moms really need from us!
Number one, new moms need support. It’s easy to forget this amidst all the baby shower fun and the cute maternity photo opps, but that new mom is probably freaking out a little inside. It’s never wrong to remind her what a great mom she is going to be.
Slip that one simple phrase into as many conversations with her as you can.
When her baby comes, continue.
Baby isn’t sleeping through the night yet? Oh, you are such a good mom!
Stressing over some (seemingly huge) decision about baby’s eating habits, or nap time, or laundry… “you are such a great mom my friend!”
When every you can, let her know, because she’s nervous, just like you and I were when that first baby was born!
Some of my favorite memories from when my babies were small was reading books to them.
When I found out about the baby book bundle from incredibundles.com I knew it would make the PERFECT baby shower gift! Start the new family off with some of the BEST books!
These are classic books, so loved by kids and moms alike. They ship it to you with the prettiest bin that can store all of baby’s books and she grows!
To make it extra special and personal, send along a personal note, to the new mom. You can print it here.
If you are having trouble reading it on your device, it says…
“Enjoying every moment is a myth. There were be plenty of diaper changes and tear-filled moments that you won’t enjoy. So I won’t extend to you those seemingly wise words. Instead, I offer you this gift of books to share with your little one in the hope that you can use them, even on the most difficult days, to find something beautiful and enjoy a precious moment with your sweet baby.”
If you want to go a little more practical than books, you could even give the new mom a diaper bundle…diapers for a year would be REALLY handy when you’re having a baby and I think that just might earn you best gift giver ever!
They even have gift bundles for new dads which look pretty amazing.
No matter what gift you settle on, or the gorgeous bundle you choose for your new mom friends, remember to package it up with love, and offer some encouragement when you do! She’ll love you for it!
The brand has generously decided to offer you the chance to win a gift card to incredibundles! Be sure to enter and share with new moms you know so they can have the chance to win as well!

Women are awesome, and I believe they’re not respected enough in the society. The transition from young adult, to being a mother, literally responsible for another person’s life. It’s a transition that nobody can say they’re adequately prepared for.
Thanks for sharing this, it would atleast give men an insight into making things better and easier for new mothers.
