To get you started, you can try this combination.
You’ll of course need to start with a loaf of bread. If you are baking your own I recommend this bread recipe.
For the dip:
- 6 tablespoons of OMAGGIO® Limited Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Parsley
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon minced rosemary
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (I like to use the kind with the larger grains)
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
Combine all of the herbs and cheese (not the salt) with 1 teaspoon OMAGGIO® Limited Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This will get it all clumped and blend it together nicely. Place the herb blend in the bottom of a plate and pour the remainder of the olive oil over it. Then salt the top and begin dipping your bread!
I love how easy this is to make, and if you serve it to guests they are always impressed, like you did something really special for them, since you usually only get oil dip at restaurants!
