Every November, I try to come up with fun ways for our family to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for. We think it is so important to instill a sense of gratitude in our kids. It is so easy to dwell on what you don’t have or what you would like to have so being thankful for what is right in front of you is important.
Since Thanksgiving is in November, it is the perfect time to come up with something your family can do to make them really think about what they do have to be thankful for. This year, I made a very simple project that we use at dinner every night. I am calling it our Meal Time Thankful Notes.
This is how I did it:
I designed a thankful list on PicMonkey and printed it off in 8×10″ size. I did the hard part for you…You can print yours here!

Then, all I did was put it inside an 8×10″ frame.
This has now become a dry erase board! Every night at dinner, we all take turns with a dry erase marker and write down what we are thankful for that day.
This list starts the best conversations. It is so great to hear what the kids come up with every night and it really makes Hubby and I reflect on all the blessings we have in our lives as well.
This frame is the centerpiece on our table for the month of November. We are trying to go through the entire month without repeating anything on the list. So far, we are doing a good job!

I love this sweet way to remind our children how blessed we are and connecting with each other over the dinner table. Thanks so much for sharing!
