Do you know what I appreciate about good friends and family? It’s the embracing of things that you’d otherwise skip, just because your loved ones, love it.
Every sunday we go to my in-law’s house. The kids have started calling sundays “grandma day”, because thats the only thing that REALLY matters about that day of the week… We have lunch after church together and hang out the rest of the day. In the Fall this means lots of football, which I couldn’t care less about.
We were never a sports family growing up and I just don’t really get the point… yet I LOVE those Sundays gathered in my mother-in-laws living room watching football and eating snacks. It is priceless time spent together, especially when the preschoolers start trying to play their own version of football (see who gets knocked over first) in the backyard after the big game.
It’s a special part of Fall that I have learned to love as I joined this new family of mine. There are things that we all learn from each other… I have a friend who is tediously watching every episode of Doctor Who with me because of my obsession. Sure she loves it now (I mean, how could you not?) but the true fun is spending time together.
We always take turns, who brings snacks or drinks or sometimes even dinner! There’s nothing like sharing something special, be it a movie, show, long conversations or even football to bring family and friends together!
This week Klondike sent me some coupons to try their new Kandy Klondike bars. All I can say is SO GOOD. I honestly didn’t realize they were making new flavors now so I was pleasantly surprised to realize they now have 12 varieties including 12 varieties of classic chocolatey coated and ice cream loaded stickless bars, which are available nationwide, including the new Cookie Dough Swirl, as well as Caramel Pretzel, Heath, REESE’S, Mint Chocolate Chip, Krunch, OREO, Dark Chocolate, Rocky Road, Double Chocolate, Neapolitan, and Original. YUM YUM YUM.
We’ve totally been sneaking these all Fall long after the kids are in bed too. It’s hard to share yuminess, you know? The new Kandy bars line has six flavors – the new Mint Fudge Cookie, as well as Caramel & Peanuts, Fudge Krunch, and Cookies & Cream.
