Ever since I published my book, I’ve been asked the same question multiple times… “Can I read a kindle ebook even if I don’t have a kindle?” The short answer is YES.
There are many ways for this to be done. First of all, if you have an iphone, ipad or similar device, there is a kindle app that allows you to purchase and read kindle books right on your phone or device. I haven’t tested this method myself, but I have friends who do this on their devices who have assured me it’s a simple process.
If you are like me, with no smartphone or tablet, you can still get kindle books and read them on your computer with kindle cloud reader. I tried this out on my laptop, to be sure I was giving you accurate information, and it worked perfectly.
To do this, you simply purchase the kindle book like normal on amazon, and it will be sent directly to your personal “kindle cloud reader” in amazon. You can then read the book right there in your internet browser. The cloud reader is not something you have to download or install on your computer, it’s an automatic feature that Amazon has for those of that want to read ebooks but don’t have kindles!
The formatting is not quite as pretty in the cloud reader, since it puts pages side-by-side, but it’s just a cosmetic thing and doesn’t affect the ease of reading the ebook.
I’m currently working on formatting and designing a physical-book version of my ebook, but until then, if you are interested in purchasing mine (or another) kindle book, you can do it! Even if you don’t have a kindle.
Have you ever read a kindle book in the cloud reader or using a kindle app?
