I’m excited to be partnering with Grill and Willie’s Ice House for this post today. All opinions are my own.
This summer Willie’s Grill & Ice House is hosting fun activities for kids and families! We went to see what all the excitement was about a few Saturdays ago and it was so much fun! The kids were literally asking us in the car (on the way home) when we’d get to go back. A definite winner, and we’re all excited to check it out again.
I had heard some friends talk about Willie’s in the past, but for some reason or another, we had never been! I saw on Facebook that they were having a Super Hero Day, so that seemed to be the best time to check it out!
My daughter loves dressing up, and while my son likes to keep it a little more casual (and not draw too much attention to himself) even he got into character by throwing on a Captain America shirt.
The menu was huge, and there were a lot of drink options too! The kids enjoyed sodas and I tried a frosted strawberry lemonade. It was amazing! One of my friends commented on Instagram that they have a Frose that is incredible too, if you’re interested in something a little more than lemonade.
While we waited on our food the kids enjoyed the sandbox. They were THRILLED to see this right next to our patio table, and had an awesome time building together while my husband and I were able to talk. Those moments have been few and far between this Summer, so that was a special treat for us too.
I have to admit, I was a little nervous about how my kids would get clean enough to eat their food when it came. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, since I don’t carry wet wipes anymore now that everyone is potty trained.
Low and behold, Willie’s had us covered. Between the two bathrooms is a HUGE sink and even a “foot washing” section so kids can tidy up before they eat. Best of all, since they don’t have to go inside the bathroom to get it done, you don’t have to worry about it if you are a mom taking older sons or a dad with daughters. No one has to go in any one else’s bathroom to wash up. It was all so quick and easy!
Super hero day activities also included free face painting! I saw fairies and all kinds of other adorable face paint selections, but my kiddos chose to stick with the theme of the day and become Captain America and IronMan(Girl).
Their paint turned out adorable and they were excited to pose in front of the photo wall too. The fact that my oldest smiled with his TEETH says a lot.

Sandbox Treasure Hunt
This event occurs daily through August 15th. Each day 10 tokens are buried in the sandbox. If a child finds a token, they will win a special prize.
One prize is allowed per child, per day so that everyone has a chance at the fun!
Free Arcade Days
In addition to the fun sandbox and other activities Willie’s also has an EPIC arcade for kids. And on July 15th and August 6th of 2019 kids will get $1 in coins to use in the arcade with every Kids Meal purchased.
Be sure to double check that the location nearest you has an arcade, as not every location does.
Beat the Heat Day
This has to be one of the best ideas ever!!! On July 27th there’s something for the whole family! Kids will receive free popsicles and adults can get $1 off frozen cocktails all day. A perfect way to enjoy a toasty Summer day.
After our food, we ordered a dessert and YOWZA, the four of us could barely finish it, the brownie was HUGE and delicious.
While everything we ate that day from burgers to fish to chicken was amazing, that brownie is calling my name and I can hardly wait to go back!
