Last weekend I attended the Blog Elevated conference in Galveston Texas. It was a wonderful weekend connecting with some amazing bloggers and brands.
Imperial Sugar threw an incredible welcome night party! We even got to make our own sugar scrubs! It was a meet and greet so we spent the evening chatting with bloggers and making connections!
Friday and saturday were filled with sessions throughout the day. Learning from some of the top bloggers in the country and hearing their stories was amazing!
Friday night Kroger and P&G threw a cocktail party which was stellar. I already knew Kroger knew how to throw a great party, but they really outdid themselves this year! It was so much fun and such a great atmosphere! (The chocolate fountain helped a lot too!). They even rolled out some red carpet for us, which was pretty fun to snap a couple photos on!
The biggest takeaway from the conference for me, was that my “crazy blogging dreams” aren’t that crazy. I realized I’m farther along toward reaching my big goals than I thought and that was very encouraging.
There is something really special about meeting multiple people who are living your crazy dream…it makes that dream seem more attainable and less crazy. I can actually see my goals coming true now, instead of just wishing and hoping that they do.
A few of those people living some crazy blogging dreams are Holly Homer, Jamie Harrington and Rachel Miller from Kids Activities blog! These three are blogging powerhouses and such sweet people! I learned so much from them!

Rachel Matthews from a Southern Fairytale, she is basically one of the sweetest people ever.
Kristen Welch from We are THAT Family was there! She spoke about how to use your blog to change the world and it was STELLAR.
Lindsay and Bjork from Pinch of Yum were awesome. I made it to two of their sessions and learned a ton. This couple works together blogging! I snapped a photo with Lindsay after her session on ebooks.
I had met my roomies before, but that didn’t make them any less wonderful. Kelli from Eat pray {read} love and Stephanie from Jornie.com (who also happens to be my sister in law!)
Esther from Laugh with us blog was super sweet! We had lots of fun chatting!
There were so many other wonderful bloggers that I met, that aren’t represented in photos, but safe to say it was a super fun week meting some amazing people!
It was also fun to spend the whole weekend with my sister in law, S
tephanie. We don’t get to see each other very often and never without our kids so it was a treat to spend so much time together! Every one thought we were real sisters and a couple people got us mixed up which was fun! Apparently we look alike *wink*
All in all it was a fantastic weekend. If you are a blogger and you ever have the chance to attend Blog Elevated I highly recommend it!
