Who doesn’t love buffalo chicken? And who doesn’t love pizza? I would venture to say that a LOT of people like both of these, so what better match made in heaven than buffalo chicken pizza?
I love coming up with unique combinations to put on a pizza, in fact a couple of weeks ago I did a Banh Mi Pizza that turned out uh-ma-zing! Not that there’s anything wrong with the classics, but sometimes you just want something a little different, right?
The flavor combination of buffalo sauce, ranch, and blue cheese is almost magical. Especially this time of year where sports are in high gear, it’s the perfect pairing with a cold beer or soda (although I don’t drink soda, so I’ll stick with the beer).
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Pizza
What You’ll Need:
- 2 Pizza Shells – I like to get the frozen ready to go pizza crust from Trader Joe’s, but any pre-made pizza crust will do. If I’m feeling extra “fancy” I’ll use the refrigerated dough balls. My husband and I used to make all our pizza crust from scratch, but found pre-made to be much easier and just as good.
- Ranch Dressing
- Your Favorite Buffalo/Wing Sauce
- 8 Oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Pulled or Diced Chicken – I love making a ton of these Savory Sauteed Chicken Bites, then using the leftovers for meals like this.
- Blue Cheese Crumbles
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Onion
Directions:
- Start by preheating the oven per package directions on the pizza crust of your choice
- Spread ranch dressing around the crust same as you would marinara sauce
- Drizzle the buffalo/wing sauce on top of the ranch
- Next put your Mozzarella, chicken, blue cheese crumbles, and scallion on. Then give one more slight drizzle of the buffalo/wing sauce.
- Cook in the oven per package directions of the pizza crust. I like mine a little crispier so I usually cook it for the top end of the time.
