If you were following this blog a year ago, you know it was around this time that we published a book called the mom quilt. It raised over $5,000 towards building a well in Kenya for The Mercy House. You read more about that project and see pictures of the well here.
We are SO EXCITED to announce that a new project is beginning, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
This year Becky, Jodi and I are compiling a new book titled The Mom Village.
This year we’re supporting Agape in Action. A ministry that works in Quiche, Guatemala. My husband got to see one of the clinics first hand this year when he went down to serve as translator for a group that was visiting.

While there are multiple aspects to Agape in Action and their work in Guatemala, the project we will be focusing on is their medical clinics. They go to 20+ locations around Quiche each month to do a medical clinic with people in different rural villages.

Agape does around 21 clinics each month in different villages across Quiche, Guatemala as you can see in the map above.
The cost per clinic ends up being around $351 – or, $7,371 a month. I would love for us to fund the equivalent of one location for the whole year ($4,212), but I think if we really work hard we could fun many, many more!
This is where you come in…
Call for writers
We would like to invite you to join us in the writing of this book entitled The Mom Village.

Each chapter will have a different author and tell a unique story about motherhood and how her village has made a difference in her life and motherhood. In this way we will be able to reach out and encourage moms in all walks of life and with many different experiences.
As you consider writing a chapter, tell your unique story, but also show how it relates to mothers as a whole, not just those who have walked in your exact shoes. Maybe it’s a tale about the difficulty or pain of having a child in the hospital. While another mother may not have had a child that has been hospitalized, she can still find strength and encouragement from your story of hope and how your village has impacted you through that experience.

Each mother’s village looks different, some might be friends, while others might be family and still others might only have a village some of the time, but people in our lives play a huge role, and I want to encourage moms to parent-together and encourage one another.
Each chapter will be a stand-alone story from a different mother. We will compile them into one beautiful book of stories that will encourage a mother’s heart.
You do not have to be a blogger to participate. Last year we had many people contribute who would not regularly refer to themselves as “writers” and it ended up being a beautiful thing!
If you’d like to keep up with details, you can also join our Facebook group.
To learn more about Agape in Action, check out this video they have created about their medical clinics!
I look forward to collaborating with you on this project! Please feel free to comment or email me if you have any questions!
Also, even if you are not a writer, stay close! Very soon, this book will be published and you can play a part in contributing to these medical clinics by purchasing your own copy of the book (it will make a great Christmas gift too!)

I agree with your opinion! Artificial intelligence tools can really be a great support in the essay writing process. They help not only with generating ideas, but also with structuring the material. It is important to remember to check the originality of the text to avoid problems with plagiarism. The service you recommended looks useful, and I also think it can make the writing process much easier. Thanks for the advice!
