You may have gathered that I’m REALLY excited about the live action Beauty and the Beast film coming out March 17.
I am GIDDY with excitement. Every time I see a new photo or video about it I can’t stop smiling.
I know, I’m totally fangirling right now, but I’m not even sorry! Emma Watson is the perfect Belle. She’s such a talented actress and genuinely wonderful human being I can’t wait to see her make the film come to life.
If you didn’t know… Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.
Everything about this just looks PERFECT. Can you hear the songs in your head? I can!
Watch Belle enter the castle and meet the characters.
The voice of Luière is being done by Ewan McGregor.
What I didn’t realize until today was that Ian McKellen is going to be playing Cogsworth. IAN MCKELLEN. Fangirling just got more intense.
The backdrops look utterly stunning. I’m amazed by the attention to detail. This is one that I’m actually really excited to see in 3D.
And then the beast roars. I really hope this is directed at Gaston!
You can watch the first full length trailer below. So. Excited.
Have you planned out who you are going to go see this with yet? It hits theaters March 17th and a group of friends and I are already planning to go. And then we’ll probably go again the next week. Maybe the next too?
If you missed our post last week, see more stills from Beauty and the Beast and a behind the scenes look here.
