A couple weeks from now, my kids will be headed off to school. Not just any school, but elementary school. A friend and I were talking about it this week and how final it all seems. This is it, his last few weeks before “the rest” of his childhood. When he goes off to school, he’ll stay there, in school until he’s an adult.

Yeah, that’s still sinking in for me too.
As we get ready for school this year, it means shopping for clothes that might actually last him more than 5 minutes.
This kid is not exactly easy on his clothes and I imagine it’s only going to get worse when he has extra playground time at his elementary school this year.
Enter, Mini Boden.

I loved looking at the selection they had online. The clothes were all so unique and fit my kid’s personalities. It was hard to pick from everything, they have their bestsellers, adorable leggings and dresses for girls, fun tees and shorts for both!
One thing that can get old shopping elsewhere, is that every boy’s shirt seems to have “sports” or superheroes on it in one way or another. And the little girls have their choice seemingly only from a variety of princess outfits.
While my kids love a good princess and superhero, that’s not all that they love, and all that they are. It was fun getting to pick out clothes based on their personalities, things that will let them shine!
I’ll admit, I was a little bit jealous of this SherLEEK Holmes shirt we got for my son. It’s all kinds of adorable and hilarious to boot, so many of their shirts had British humor, and it is fabulous!
I also loved the green plaid pants we got him to complete the outfit. The thing about my son is that he will only wear “soft” pants. He won’t wear jeans, khakis or anything of that nature because they aren’t soft enough. Basketball shorts and athletic pants are fine for most days, but sometimes he needs to dress up a little.
Especially for the first day of Kindergarten, I was wanting him to wear something a little more dressy than basketball shorts. These pans are the PERFECT solution! They look classier than his normal choice for bottoms, but they are still soft.
There was no fight getting him to put them on and he didn’t want to take them off for a few days (yep, I have one of THOSE kids). The important thing is, we now have another option that this kid will actually wear!
And then there was the cutest little dress for my daughter.
Oh the stripes and the colors and the sweetest little pockets. She twirls and she plays and it fits her perfectly.
The other wonderful thing we’ve discovered about mini boden?
It’s durable.
From playtime, to school to everything in between that these kids put their clothes through. You can tell that the outfits are built to last. Which is a major win in my opinion!
