As we prepare for another school year, it’s decision time!
It is a challenge to find the right preschool for your child, where they will not just make it through the day, but rather THRIVE in their preschool experience.
Looking back, one of the best decisions we made for our children was to put them in preschool. In preschool they learned about how school is structured, they learned to work together with friends, they learned how to work in social situations and most importantly they were instilled with a passion for learning.
If you are trying to find the perfect preschool for your kids, I’m excited to share with you some of our experiences and some information from our partners at KinderCare!

Finding the right preschool for your child

Thing about their teaching philosophy

One of the most important impacts preschool had on my own kids was that instilled in them a lifelong love of learning. This had everything to do with the approach the teachers took on their classrooms!

With KinderCare your child will receive world class education from teachers who are passionate about helping your child learn and grow in a positive environment.

When thinking about different preschool centers, don’t forget that you can go tour different preschools, and even talk to the teachers before you enroll. To learn about the teacher’s perspective on education be sure to ask questions like “What is it you like about teaching this age group?” You can also bring your child along and observe how the teacher interacts with them. Do they get on your child’s level to talk to them? Do they seem to treasure their interactions with kids?
After spending some time touring some facilities and talking to teachers, you should be able to go with your gut, and figure out which preschool center is bets for you child.

How to choose a preschool you can trust

Choosing a preschool is a big decision, this is the first time your child will be in a school environment, so choose somewhere that is proven to be a pioneer in early childhood education, KinderCare!

KinderCare has been around since 1969 and has centers in convenient locations, so you can find the center that’s best for you.

In addition to being around for over 50 years, KinderCare also has an innovative approach to enducation in the 21st century.

Finding a preschool that will give your child an edge

To be honest I was unsure about sending my kids to preschool the first year that we enrolled, now looking back on three solid years of preschool with two kids who are now THRIVING in elementary school, I know that preschool gave them the tools they needed to succeed.
A good preschool can set your child up for success in a way that doing kinder prep at home, can’t quite do on it’s own.
Kids pick up so many useful skills in preschool that they will carry through their entire school experience!

Safety Considerations at preschool

Safety is a huge concern for parents today, and I am very comforted by how seriously KinderCare takes the safety of the children that are entrusted into their care.
Everything remains positive for the kids, but they are serious about keeping the learning environment safe for our precious ones! Knowing that the preschool has thought through many worst-case scenarios and already has a safety plan in place, does wonders to bring comfort to a worried mama’s heart as she drops her littles off at preschool.
Are you considering where to enroll your child in preschool this year? See if there is a KinderCare location near you and set up a tour today!
