This time of year is particularly hectic, especially for moms. I find life is so much easier when I’m given one task to do, than when I’m stuck with 15 balls in the air and expected to get them all in exactly the right place at the right time.
Balancing kids home, buying gifts, wrapping everything, regular life and the added pressure of making life extra magical for the kids and it all becomes completely hectic.
Before winter break is over, you are going to be in desperate need of a holiday party with your girlfriends.
I’m not talking about the every one wearing their best dresses and bringing a favorite casserole to share.
Nope.
The kind of night WE ALL NEED is a yoga-pants-welcome, pick up a snack on the way kind of party.
I hosted one of these parties last week, and it was AMAZING! I stopped by Baskin-Robbins to pick up desserts I had ordered for everyone and we were all pretty thrilled with what I brought home.
We ended up with both of their delicious holiday themed desserts!
We started with the Peppermint & Winter OREO® Cookies Polar Pizza. Up until this point, I didn’t know ice cream pizza was even a thing, and now I think it’s my favorite way to have ice cream!
It has a double fudge brownie crust with Peppermint ice cream, topped with Winter OREO® Cookie Pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge topping.
Then there was the tasty Ganache Poinsettia Cake which was wonderful as well. You could customize the cake type and the ice cream flavor and choose what you wanted written on the top. Since our party was before Christmas I went with “Merry Christmas” to keep it simple.
I went ahead and picked up a quart of the December ice cream flavor of the month:Peppermint Bark in the Dark.
With desserts aplenty I went home, put the kids to bed and hosted the most laid back holiday party ever. People brought cheese and crackers which we cut up on the spot and enjoyed with dessert.
We were way too loud and I’m still amazed the kids didn’t wake up. But it was awesome.
Make some time this winter to host your friends. It doesn’t have to be perfect, in fact, I specifically told people that it was casual and low key because the point is getting together and enjoying one another, not worrying about what to wear or what to bring.
If you or a friend host a party this season, remember to stop by Baskin-Robbins to get your own ice cream cake or Peppermint & Winter OREO® Cookies Polar Pizza! You can use the code below to get $2 off your Peppermint & Winter OREO® Cookies Polar Pizza through December 31st!
Have yourself a wonderful winter break, but don’t for get to actually take time to rest, and enjoy time with friends too. Even if it’s a last-minute, whoever-can-come, yoga-pants-welcome type of party. Sometimes, those are the best ones!
