If you’ve been around this blog awhile, you know that we LOVE cloth diapering. We did cloth with Little Man, from the time he was a month old, until he potty trained. With Princess, it’s been the same thus far, though she’s not quite ready to potty train, we plan to keep her in cloth until she does.
Although we favor using cloth during the day, nighttime is a different story. We started having leaks early on in the night, and I wasn’t too fond of having to wake up multiple times a night to change baby’s diaper, clothing and bedding. No, thank you! I knew I needed a new nighttime diaper solution. So, we switched to disposables at night and never looked back! In fact, my 3 year old still wears a disposable diaper to bed at night, although he’s potty trained during the day, we like to be sure there are no accidents during the night! There are lots of things you could try and hoops you could jump through to make cloth work at night, I’m sure, but I feel like disposables are just the easiest, cheapest, simplest way to go for bedtime. It’s also always nice to have some ‘sposies on hand for when I’m behind on laundry!
I’ve tried out several different brands of nighttime diapers, trying to find a thrifty option without sacrificing comfort for baby and of course the 12 hours of leak protection that is essential on through-the-night diapers! This week we got to try out H-E-B Baby diapers and we were truly impressed. They have recently redesigned their diaper brand, and I was thrilled when my daughter made it through the night without any leaks! The diapers were so thin and soft when I put them on my little girl, she was comfortable in them to sleep, which is another essential thing we look for in our nighttime diapers!
What is your nighttime diaper solution? Have you ever tried the H-E-B baby diapers?
