Mmmm I’m super excited about this recipe from Trine, for the tastiest pancakes! I always use a mix, so I’m excited to now have a recipe to be able to make these with my kids without having to buy mixes!!!
I hope you all liked my first guest post here, Ham & Cheese Horns. Today I am going to share a recipe you might be familiar with, American Pancakes. The reason for this is because they are quite different from the ones I grew up with. Norwegian pancakes is more like crepes, a thinner and bigger pancake.
What I love most about these pancakes is you can freeze them (with freezer paper between) and when you want one you pop then in the toaster and voila! Good as new. Please remember, Im Norwegian – this is totally new for me and my pancakes are not so pretty.
Ingredients:
1 cup (150g) flour
3 tbs baking powder
1 tbs sugar
2 and a half cups (360g) milk (vary depending on desired batter thickness)
1 egg
3 tbs melted butter
Instructions:
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients ans mix together.
- Add small sizes of batter into a pan in medium heat.
- When it starts to bubble flip it over.
- Have a small taste and let the rest cool on a rack before you freeze them
If anyone has any tips on how to make pretty pancakes please let me in on the secret!
