There’s something so incredibly tasty about street tacos, isn’t there? The meat is always packed full of flavor, and the toppings take them to another level. Even my picky little eaters will gobble them right up. Kids especially love how they can customize the toppings.

Carne Asada is one of my favorite taco fillings, and this one does not disappoint. Not only is it delicious, but it’s ridiculously easy since you just throw all the ingredients into a crock pot before heading off to work in the morning. When you get home, you have tender yummy makings for your street tacos. Once the meat is done, the rest comes together within minutes.
How to Make Crock Pot Carne Asada
Prepare:
First, you’ll want to gather all your ingredients.

- 2 pounds flank steak
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Orange Juice
- 1/8 Cup Worcestire Sauce
- 1/8 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Cilantro
- 3 Cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
Mix all the ingredients (except for the flank steak) together in a bowl.

Cook:
Put the flank steak in the crock pot, and cover with the mixture.

Cook on low for 6-9 hours. If you get a chance, shred the meat apart before serving and let it sit in the crock pot to soak in the juices.
Assemble:
Once you’re ready to serve, gather your toppings so everyone can put what they want on their taco. I like to do diced tomatoes, sour cream and avocado mixed together, and chopped cilantro/onion/avocado.

For the shell, you can use a flour tortilla, corn tortilla, or hard taco shell. I like to use little 4″ corn tortillas when I can find them. You don’t want the tortilla to be too big, since you’re going for the street taco effect here.
Enjoy!
After you’ve chosen your tortilla, you’re ready to dish up and enjoy!

My boyfriend and I made this recipe last night for dinner at it was DIVINE!! We generously seasoned a 2.5 chuck roast in place of flank steak, seared it 2 minutes each side in the pan, and then followed your instructions exactly. When I tell you…we kept hovering around the kitchen because it smelled so good. And it fell apart in the crockpot by the time we went to break it up. So tender! Chopped up some more cilantro, onions, and avocado to put on top…
We also dipped our tortillas in the spare drippings from the meat, then browned them in the pan before serving. SOOOO GOOOOOD!!!
