Cheesy Goldfish Crusted Garlic Chicken

This Cheesy Goldfish Chicken Recipe was another immediate favorite. That’s why I’m sharing it as part of our Easy Family Favorites series!

You know you’re a mom when you incorporate goldfish into a meal for the family.

We somehow ended up with a lot of squished goldfish in a bag, I didn’t want them to go to waste, and so I created this recipe instead of tossing them!

cheesy chicken recipe

What you need:
1 egg
4 chicken breasts
2 cup of crushed goldfish
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350F.
Crack the egg in a small bowl, add the garlic powder and stir. In a separate small bowl mix goldfish pieces and cheese. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, coating the entire breast. Then, roll the chicken in the goldfish/cheese mixture until coated.

Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350

Take it out and enjoy!

delicious chicken recipe

Let me know if you try it and enjoy it! :) I would love to hear what you think!

If you are looking for delicious family dinner ideas for tonight check out these ideas from my friend Laura!

We all loved the meal, the chicken ended up being extremely moist and had a nice subtle garlic flavor. It was fun seeing all the little fish pieces all over the chicken, and I’m sure kids would love that about it too!

Thanks for linking up for The Bliss Project! The links were not showing up on my blog, but they did go through. Trying to get that resolved.

Anyway… this looks really good! I’ve heard of using corn flakes to cover chicken/fish, but never goldfish. I think my son would love to help me make this!

My kids love goldfish. Maybe this is a good way to get them to eat chicken too. Thanks for linking it up at The Better Half!

This is such a great way to use up the last of the goldfish! My teenage daughters, still goldfish lovers, would get a kick out of this. I’ll have to remember and make it for them just to make them smile! I’m sure it would have wonderful flavor!

That is a brilliant way to use the crushed goldfish! When I first say the title, I though, how does anyone have extra goldfish to use on chicken? We do always seem to have a fair amount of crushed fish in the bag, or snack tote. This is definitely a mom created recipe, lol.
