Have you ever met one of those people who seem to have decorating in their blood? I’m always amazed when I go to a house that’s nicely decorated. Everything seems to perfect and magical and they are even able to make their decor change with the seasons.
Even though I know it’s just subtle changes that they make each new season, I’ll never stop being impressed at how some people are able to naturally make a few small changes and create a space that feels so warm and inviting.
And for the rest of us… there’s Pinterest.
I am NOT the type of person with decorating skills in my blood. I need very specific instructions and quite a bit of hand holding to make my house look all festive and fun like I want it to be.
I really appreciate these Easy DIY Fall Decor Solutions – they provide exactly the right amount of hand holding and inspiration to get my house looking all festive and perfect for the seasons.
They share simple ways to add a bit of extra oomf to your decorating scheme.
Focus on your centerpiece
Centerpieces on your tables are a great way to start with your decorating. You can change them seasonally, for Fall focus on things that make you think of “harvest” like pumpkins, gourds and deep berry colors.
Scent is everything
Candles are a great way to add a little bit of seasonal joy to any room or home. Pull out your favorite Fall scents this time of year like apple cider, or cinnamon candles to make visitors automatically feel at home and excited for the Fall season.
Hand towels are a great and easy way to add a spark of seasonal decorative cheer to any room. Add new hand towels to the bathroom and kitchen that show off your favorite Fall colors. This is a subtle change that is sure to get your home feeling festive and welcoming.
