Christmas is right around the corner, which has a lot of us scrambling for last minute gift ideas! I love buying things for kids that have an educational twist, which is why I decided to partner with Educents to bring you this fun list of educational gift ideas for kids.
There are so many great ideas on the full Educents site, it was hard to narrow it down!
I knew that I wanted to start with the Magic School Bus line of science projects that they have for kids. It is a twelve month subscription package for the kids, so it will keep them learning and having fun long after the holidays have past!
Next up I found the most amazing collection of Magformers. These come in sets of varying sizes and some even come with challenges and activity books to keep the kids busy. I love watching my kids play with these, they concentrate and really work hard to figure out how everything goes together.
Tegu blocks are another great option for your little builders. These are wooden blocks (and very smooth) but they also have magnets inside which helps the kids create some really magnificent things with them!
All kids love video games, but here’s one that actually teaches them useful skills. They can play this computer coding game to learn how things work! Our kids are being raised in such a tech-savvy world I love being able to give them a chance to learn how it all works so they can use the tools at their fingertips most effectively. This video game is a fantastic way to start that!
For the smaller kids in your life, the puppy pursuit memory game is a great place to start them. Kids wok on memory skills and pattern recognition with this fun (and pretty adorable) game. It’s a neat one to play with the kids too, which is always fun!
Slightly older kids will love having their own weaving loom. I actually remember having a miniature version of this as a kid and I was obsessed with it. I was always weaving something or other! It’s great for fine motor skills for your older kids, as well as teaching them to make useful things for themselves instead of just heading off to the store. SO many amazing things about a gift like this!
Books are some of my favorite presents to give (and receive) – an unlimited library of children’s ebooks sounds way better than just one simple book though1 I love the farfaria unlimited option they offer. That’s one spectacular gift for your child or a child in your life!
Times Tales is a fabulous last minute gift because it’s all digital, no shipping required! This is a fun way to help your kids memorize the times tables! They want to spend all day on the computer anyway, so using tools like this is a great way to use that desire to your (and their) advantage! I had something similar as a kid and it totally helped because it would hold my attention longer than working with a pencil and paper.
There are tons more options on the Educents site so you can find the perfect fit for your child and give them a gift that will really last their whole life! There’s nothing greater than giving education to your child, especially when it’s education that is fun!
