The week school started we decided to go out to dinner and celebrate! This post has been sponsored by Smashburger, our family dinnertime destination!
I love the variety of foods that can be found at Smashburger. Not only do they have amazing burgers that are grilled to perfection and topped with any sort of gourmet dressings you can imagine, but they also have chicken sandwiches, salads and even vegetarian options!
Most recently Smashburger has updated their kids meal choices with some better-for-you choices! Our kids got the grilled chicken strips, musselman’s unsweetened applesauce and Horizon organics milk. The strips are 100% all-white premium chicken meat with no artificial flavors or fillers. I snuck a few off my daughter’s plate and they were so flavorful and juicy I almost wanted to swap plates with her! She had fun dipping them in her ranch dressing too (BBQ sauce, ketchup and mustard were her other choices).
I love that they have the Mussleman’s unsweetened appleasauce as a side dish option for kids now too. It is gluten free, fat free and trans fat free with no added sugar or sodium. Definitely a win, from mom and dad’s perspective, but my kids wanted to eat those first, they love them!!!
Add to that either an Organic HONEST Kids® Juice box or Horizon Milk® and you’ve got a wonderful kid’s meal for just $5.49!
My husband and I got burgers and loved every minute of eating dinner with our kids. We were able to sit in tall chairs, which the kids LOVED. They felt so important sitting so high!
Living in the Philippines I grew obsessed with fried eggs on burgers, and always want burgers served that way here. Smashburger is the only place I’ve found where I can get an egg on my burger and it always makes my day! Bacon, egg, smash sauce, cheese and fried onions make the best burger ever!
I love spending time together with just our family. Life can get chaotic and times like these can sometimes be lost in the ebbs and flows of day to day life. But sometimes, just for a moment we can stop, forget about our chores, and our to do lists and head out the door to make a fun memory together, even with something as simple as sharing dinner at Smashburger to celebrate the first week of school!
What special moments have you found with your kids lately? Share in the comments!!! Have you tried the new grilled chicken strips at Smashburger? If not…you don’t know what you are missing, hurry and try them asap!
