Finding time for a girls night post-kids is nothing short of a challenge! My husband and I started something new with another couple that has been really fun for everyone! After we get all the kids in bed my husband heads over to their house to watch the movies with my friend’s husband, while she drives over to my place to hang out here!
We are able to sneak in some girls night fun while the guys have a good time doing their thing too.
This has been a great way to connect with one another and have some rest time, without spending a lot of money or worrying about babysitting! The guys always order pizza, but my friend and I like to shake things up and try different drinks, dinners and snacks.
We’ve done salsa, chocolate desserts, cheese platters and lots of things from pinterest!
This week we were both really excited to try the Palm Breeze sparkling alcohol spritz. It comes in Ruby Red Citrus (this is the one we tried) and Pineapple Mandarin Orange (probably doing this one next week!).
It was a really light drink which we both appreciated a lot. The flavor was awesome and so perfect for a Summer girls night!
So while the guys are watching every Avengers film every made, we have been working our way through Doctor Who. This is my third time watching the series, but her first. Honestly though? We probably spend more time chatting than we do watching…because, GIRLS NIGHT!
Truly, there is nothing like a good evening with a good friend. Regardless of what we actually watch or discuss, just being there together, with some good food and great drinks is the perfect way to start a weekend.
If you are able to go OUT for a girls night, check out one of the Palm Breeze events and see if there is one near you! Super fun!
Girls night doesn’t have to be a thing of the past. How do you make it happen even with kids?

I have a book club I started shortly after my third was born its once a month and my hubby knows that’s my night out! We honestly talk about everything besides the book a lot of times, laugh a lot and enjoy the girl time! It’s so important! I love your idea of house swapping though so no one has to find a sitter, great idea!
