Affiliate marketing has long been one of my favorite marketing strategies, but it only becomes more important in times when sponsored posts can be harder to find.
And just so you know, some of the following links are my own affiliate links. Thanks for supporting me! You can always find affiliate opportunities through networks. My top three are:
- Affiliate Window
- Shareasale
- Amazon (regrettably)
Amazon isn’t technically a network, but they’re worth mentioning, since they have everything. You won’t get the highest commission rate from amazon. At all. But if you include links in your posts, you should be able to get paid from them each month. I use amazon to “round out” my affiliate marketing strategy, instead of as the main source of my affiliate income.

This week, I recorded a podcast with a quick blogging tip on how to earn more money through affiliate networks. Listen in by searching Quick Blogging Tips (episode 2) on Spotify or iTunes or listen on my website here.
But today, I don’t want to focus as much on networks, but on affiliate programs from fellow bloggers. I love participating in these because:
- I love supporting bloggers
- The commission rate is usually 10x what it is from brands
- The products are fun and unique!
By far, the biggest affiliate opportunity you will find for the best products, is from your fellow entrepreneurs!
When trying to figure out which affiliate programs will help you earn the most money, the two most important things to look at are:
- Commission amount (the % of money you make on each sale)
- Cookie length
Most people look at the commission, but forget about the cookie length. Cookie length is essential because it represents the amount of time you have between when some one clicks your link, and when the purchase something for the purchase to still be credited to you.
Companies like amazon only give the buyer 24 hours to make a purchase after clicking your link. Through networks the cookie length will vary from company to company but most are at least several weeks.
Affiliate programs from other bloggers and entrepreneurs not only have high commission rates, but they usually have very generous cookies, some even have a lifetime cookie! Meaning, someone could click your link, and then purchase even years down the road and you’d get credit for the sale. Epic.
Earlier this week I asked in my facebook group for bloggers for links to their affiliate programs. Browse this post and find some new things to promote to boost your income and help your fellow entrepreneurs! I’m going to copy the message they wrote about their own products below the topic and give you a link to sign up.

MOMables is a website that has been providing meal plans and healthy food for families for over a decade. You can be an affiliate of the MOMables weekly meal plans, a Clean Eating Program which is like a Whole30 but for families, and even a Picky Eaters e-Course!
Fun side note, I manage this affiliate program for Laura (the owner of MOMables, so we can work together directly if you join!) I am very familiar with all of these products and they are all STELLAR.

You can keep track of your social media accounts on Promorepublic (just try it) , a website that lets you do this. You can post to a lot of different social media networks from one place. Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter are examples of platforms that have a lot of profiles.
