My hubby is not a natural romantic. Not in the traditional sense of the word anyway. He doesn’t buy me flowers, or chocolates. He has bought me jewelry a couple of times when I have asked for it, but never as a surprise. He doesn’t plan out special candle lit dates for us to go on or surprise me with picnics in the park…
Our relationship is not your classicstory book romance.
Perfect example.
For our anniversary this year, I planned out this intricate, home made gift for him. It has taken me hours to create, is extremely sentimental and will be something we can display in our home forever.
His gift to me? A parenting book. How romantic right?
But seriously. It is. The book he bought me is more sentimental than a dozen bouquets of roses and sweeter than 1,000 boxes of chocolates. Why?

Because of what it represents….
