Sometimes, you try to share your childhood memories, hopes and dreams with your kids and they just don’t care.
“Hey look buddy, check out this movie I was obsessed with it when I was a kid!”
or
“Let’s read my favorite childhood series together!”
It seems sweet enough right? Wanting to share these precious memories with your kids. However, most of the time kids are a bit underwhelmed by our nostalgia. Graphics and plot lines have advanced quite a bit in the two decades that separate me and my oldest, and they have moved on to bigger and better things.
There is one special memory that they are reliving, without even realizing it though. Their love for Lucky Charms rivals my own as a child. The fighting with siblings over who got more marshmallows in their bowl and if some one may have skimmed a few marshmallows off the top… it’s all too familiar!
So we decided to take it a step farther and share another special moment together. We made milkshakes using our trusty Lucky Charms. And they were oh-so delicious!
Lucky Charms Milkshake Ingredients
- 3 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- whipped topping
- Lucky Charms
Use a blender to blend the milk and vanilla ice cream. Let the kids pick out the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms box.
Top the milkshake with whipped cream and sprinkle the marshmallows on top!
Enjoy the shakes with your kids, and have fun making new memories together!
Be sure to pick up a big box of Lucky Charms to enjoy with your kids the next time you are at Walmart!
