Have you ever noticed how nice and pretty everything looks when it’s in a mason jar? Well food is no different, especially this mason jar berry shortcake parfait. In fact, you can take what would normally be a fairly simple dessert, layer it in a mason jar, and voila! You have a cute Pinterest worthy dessert ready to serve at any party.
Summertime screams berries, whipped cream, and shortcake. That’s why this dessert has you covered for every red, white, and blue occasion you’re headed to. Plus it’s so easy, you can whip it up last minute whenever needed.

It’s also fun and easy for the kids to help out with this one. Who doesn’t love spraying whipped cream and crushing up graham crackers? The best part is, you don’t need to make a single thing from scratch if you don’t want to.
How to Make a Mason Jar Berry Shortcake Parfait
Ingredients

The ingredients are fairly simple. In addition to mason jars, this is all you need:
- Cut up Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Shortcake
- Whipped Cream
- Graham Crackers

Directions
- In your clean mason jar, crumble up the shortcake (of your choice) into the bottom quarter of the jar
- Next, layer the cut up strawberries. I like making nice little bite sized pieces
- Put a layer of whipped cream on top of the strawberries
- Then do another thinner layer of the crumbled up shortcake
- Add a layer of blueberries
- Give a final squirt of whipped cream on top, don’t be shy!
- For the finishing touch, crumble some graham crackers over the top of the whipped cream. This gives a yummy crunch and texture to your berry shortcake parfait.
- Finally, be prepared to receive lots of compliments because your dessert looks like it should be sitting in a dessert case at a bakery or cafe.

I made a version of this using yogurt and sugar free graham. I figure I could probably eat it every day.
Berries, carbs & creaminess is comfort food 101.
I love it when the crumble goes soft but maybe I’m alone in that regard

I also put Ceylon cinnamon in the homemade shortcake and 10/10 would do again.
I’d heard of parfait but never really tried them. Always was one of those Southern dishes that I never got to try when in the South.
