We had been anxiously awaiting the opening night of Star Wars Rogue one since the moment Disney announced it was coming. We had mixed emotions going in. None of us wanted to be too excited for fear of being let down, but then again, we felt like the trailers, teasers and all the snippets of information we were getting about the movie looked pretty darn good.
Opening night found us seated in comfy, theater seats that recline to watch Rogue One in 3D.
You guys.
This movie was spectacular. Not only was it a great stand-alone film, it added so much more depth and meaning to the other Star Wars films, especially the original trilogy.
It’s a contender for my favorite Star Wars movie, which I know is sacriligious to even say as the right answer to “favorite star wars movie” must always be “empire”, but suddenly I find my answer switching as I fell in love with the characters and the story of Rogue One.
I can’t bring myself to tell you all the wonderful reasons I loved it just yet, as I don’t want to give any spoilers on the blog since it’s still opening week, but Disney sent me this featurette about my new favorite droid, K-2SO.
This droid, who is being called the anti-C3PO is a hilarious character. Sarcasm and sass drips from his every word as his “filter” is broken so he just says exactly what he’s thinking. This provides great comic relief in tense scenes, and one of our friends said they must’ve modeled the character after my husband, with all the sarcastic quips being made literally at every possible chance.
This K-2SO Featurette goes behind the scenes with Alan Tudyk to tell you a bit about his character, and you even see scenes of him in the gear acting which is pretty funny!
Watch the featurette here!
