As we enter the new year many of us are searching for quick and healthy meal ideas. We all want to be healthier and more efficient with our time. Losing weight is at the top of many lists this year, as well as organizing, cleaning and keeping sanity.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of el pollo loco. Although I have been compensated for this campaign I truly love El pollo Loco brand and their food. You can read my full disclosure policy here for more information about the brands I work with and why.
One of the biggest things that I LOVE about El Pollo Loco is the healthy options. They are fast food, but they are actually healthy too.
Honestly, I’m not a health-food nut. I want food to taste good and bonus points if it’s healthy. I won’t eat gross things just because they are good for me. I’ve tried the under 500 calorie meals at El Pollo Loco, and they are amazing. Diet or not, you’d be happy to eat them. They are truly that good.
The citrus marinated chicken is completely amazing. You can ask any of my friends; I never, ever rave about food. But this chicken is rave-worthy. I need it in my life way more than I get it (only because the location nearest me won’t be open for a couple more months).
I did have the priviledge of attending their grand opening recently in Copperfield, Tx. It was neat to be one of the first in the store and I was really appreciative of how involved the brand is in our community here in Houston. They donated a large amount of money to the Houston food bank and they have plans to continue partnering with the city. I was already impressed with their food, but now I’m doubly impressed with the way they run their business!
Are you getting hungry yet? For once, you don’t have to feel guilty for needing to hit that drive through. Just stock up on their freshly made guac and fire grilled chicken. It’s an affordable way to feed your family with absolutely no guilt.
You can get the chicken in pieces as pictured here, or in tacos, burritos, burrito bowls and so many different ways. All the delicious. I can’t even handle it.
If you are one of the many people trying to get healthy this year and save time/money too, you should definitely try out El Pollo Loco. See where your closest location is here.
For my Houston friends, they are popping up all over the city this year! So exciting!!!
