My pediatrician said to soak the corner of wash cloth in chamomile tea (instead of water) and freeze it. The cold feels good to chew on, the rest of the cloth isn’t freezing cold to hold on to (for you or baby), and the chamomile naturally and safely calms the baby (this is the primary ingredient in many natural teething ‘medicines’).
