Things to do in Panama City Beach

Vacation season is just around the corner which has us thinking about all the fun things we want to do as a family this year! One of the top family destinations is naturally Panama City Beach.

One of the best things about visiting Panama City Beach is that you can really make it yours. There’s something for EVERYONE. This makes traveling with groups of friends extra fun too, because you can take on different activities (or swap babysitting) so everyone gets to experience a little bit of everything!

Start with the family beach 

The 27 miles of gorgeous white sandy beaches make the perfect getaway for families! Sit on the beach with a good book while the kids play in the sand OR schedule one of the fun activities for the day.

Go parasailing in the gulf (my personal favorite), try deep sea fishing for the brave or even rent a pontoon boat and go on a small family fishing trip!

Snorkeling is another super fun option, you can swim with dolphins in the gorgeous turquoise waters of Panama City Beach! What a magical experience to share as a family! This is on our bucket list for sure.

Adventure activities in Panama City Beach 

If you are the type of family that loves to get your heart pumping, there are tons of adventures to be had when you visit the Real. FUN. Beach. too! Take a super-fast air boat through winding creeks and visiting islands! The boats reach speeds of almost mach 10 and will definitely feed your inner dare devil!

If snorkeling whets your appetite for more, you can also get scuba certified and go on a deep sea adventure!

Then, check out Cobra Adventure Park or Shipwreck Island Park for rides that are sure to leave you with some epic stories to tell of your fun and nerve-wracking adventures!

Romantic destinations in Panama City Beach 

The obvious first stop is a romantic walk along the beach at sunset. The sand is gloriously soft and the water is the most beautiful shade of turquoise it will definitely set the mood!

If walking on the beach isn’t quite your speed, stop by Barley’s Bike Rental and get a couple of bikes so you can go on a romantic bike ride along the beach. So fun!

The Serenity Spa will get you feeling relaxed with a couple’s massage after a long few days having adventures with the kids on the beach!

For dinner, make sure you make a reservation at Firefly, which was awarded the “most romantic restaurant” in 2017! When you experience their wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, you’ll understand why!
