Do you have a Thomas the Train fan in your house? My son and his friends love Thomas & Friends™ so it just made sense to have a Thomas Themed party!!! If you are planning a birthday party you can use some of these Thomas the Train party ideas!
To start off, we dressed all the kiddos in fabulous Thomas-themed conductor hats! Then we got out several sets of the new and improved Thomas and Friends™ Trackmaster™ sets! Since our kids are young we had to help set up the tracks so we put on a Thomas movie for them while they waited for their turn to play.
The neat thing about the Tale of the Brave DVD and the tracks, is how they go together! You can watch the story unfold in the movie and then play out what happened in the show on the track sets!
The kids loved watching Thomas jump the track in the Thomas and Friends™ Avalanche escape set! It was the defnite favorite, although the others were fun too! We also played with the Sodor Spiral Expansion pack, the Sort and Switch Delivery Set and the Troublesome Tracks Set.
I was impressed that all the sets could connect, and even with the new and improved redesign with better speeds, the new tracks and engines still work with the older sets that you have at home!
After we played with the trains, we decided that no party would be complete without delicious snacks and cupcakes!
To make a Thomas-lunch we used a cookie cutter to cut ham and cheese slices into train shapes. Then we used my friends Thomas and Friends™ snack bowls for chips!
Green and blue cupcakes (for Percy and Thomas) finished off our fun afternoon!
Have you ever had a Thomas party? Although we didn’t have time the other day, you can also Check out the new Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster ™ Online and build your very own track design – it will be live later in October 2014. I can totally see my son becoming obsessed with that site!
Don’t forget to Keep up with Thomas & Friends™ on Facebook and Follow Thomas & Friends™ on Twitter!
