I saw a friend and fellow blogger (Kathryn at Singing through the Rain) do this and thought it was a great idea! Be sure to check out her blog!
I started this blog about a year ago so this will not only be the top 10 posts from the year, but from my whole blog thus far!
Counting them down in reverse order:
10. The mission of motherhood – In this blog I compare my life several years ago, as a missionary in the Philippines, to my life now as a stay at home mom. When I wrote this blog I had heard people talking about me, and some actually to my face about why I wasn’t in ministry anymore etc. This was my response in blog form.
9. One Year Old – I made this post when my son turned a year old. There is a picture of him for each month of his life up to that point and a little description about how he grew and changed each month.
8. Introduce yourself – this post was written for a blog party and is just a little peek into my life story thus far.
7. Baby boy’s birth– This post is my first born’s birth story. written about 6 months late because I felt like our story wasn’t “good enough” to share. But I feel no more guilt about any of it now, and am super happy to share our story with you. It’s not perfect. It didn’t go how we planned it, but it is OUR story. and I love it :D
6. Who is number one – This is one of my favorite posts. It is about putting God first in your marriage instead of your spouse, and how it completely changed our marriage for the better! :)
5. Priorities / Lessons learned on Vacation – An overview of our first vacation with a baby! and all the valuable lessons I learned along the way.
4. My Dad’s weight loss journey – I wrote this post as a tribute to him on my dad’s death anniversary this year. It is about his incredible journey of weight loss that started with him weighing in at over 600 pounds. I really love weight loss stories and shows like the biggest loser because I have seen in my life what obesity can do to a family. Had my dad not been overweight he would still be here today and so much would be different.
3. Beautiful imperfection – Another marriage post. This one is about how failures and mistakes (on a really special night!) made me realize the beauty of our lives together and our love. A little perspective changes everything ;)
2. Heritage and facing the past – This is another one of my favorite posts. It is hard to sumarize, so maybe you should just go read it ;)
and the most popular post this year!!!!
1. Ten money saving tips – I share ten things my family does to save money :)
Thanks for making this a great year of blogging! I hope you have fun looking back over the past year, I know I did! :)
Have you read any of these posts? which were your favorite?
