This post is sponsored by Mattel, but all opinions are my own.
This week I got a box in the mail from Walmart.com, which threw our house into a total 90s flashback. Inside the box was a whole collection of Polly Pockets for me to enjoy with my daughter.
I mean, just look….
So fun right? I was OBSESSED with Polly Pocket as a little girl. Sadly, I don’t have any of my old sets to bring out anymore, but I can still see them clearly in my mind – my favorite was a light pink oval shaped scene because I could cram all my little Polly Pockets inside it and take them everywhere I went!
My daughter is six and we’d never officially talked about Polly Pocket before today, but as soon as I opened the box with her she gasped and said “POLLY POCKET?!?!?!?”. It’s in her blood to know that Polly is where the real fun happens.
Polly has officially been given an upgrade and I’m here for it. She’s slightly bigger, which makes it easier to play (especially now that my fingers have grown!) and her feet are sticky so that she can stand in various areas of the houses and scenes.
As a mom I’m thankful Polly doesn’t stick to everything, but it was really easy to set her in different spots, just like the old snap-in that I grew up with, but these Polly Pockets can actually go more places without toppling over, so I call this one a huge win for the 2018 version of the 90s toy!
There are even jumbo versions of Polly and the other characters. I thought these were a great size since they can still fit in a pocket, but it’s easier to take in the car without getting lost or worrying that an accessory might go missing (ask me how I know).
I’m so excited to share this little piece of childhood with my daughter, and honestly we were having so much fun my son joined in too. Along with Polly we were having singing competitions and going on all kinds of adventures together and I’m sure there are more to come!
I’m so incredibly thankful to Mattel for bringing back this happy memory and letting me share it with my kids. You can get in on all the 90s fun at Walmart both in stores and online add them to your cart here! When you do, make sure you Instagram me or message me on my Facebook page so I can see which ones you got so we can relive all the fun together!
Our daughters might not know yet what a wonderful thing they just got into, but we can definitely show them! So. Fun.
Happy playing!!!

I also found a unique website that offers personalized portraits for babies and children. They saved us when we missed our photoshoot due to the pandemic. Try them out!
