If you are like our family, winter hit this week and you realized you don’t have any warm PJs for the kids and the rest of their winter clothes are severely lacking as well. I was so thankful when the Children’s Place offered to let me come and shop their winter collection to get some new things for my kiddos. I was given a gift card to shop, but all the opinions are my own. (You can read my full disclosure policy here)
If you have been on my blog for much time at all, you know I am a major penny pincher. I save money wherever I can, so buying things new, just doesn’t happen very often. Except, in the children’s place today I was pleased to see racks of things for $5, $10, $12 and so on! Definitely nice to see for this thrifty shopper!
The problem with thrift-shopping and second hand items is that a lot of the time the quality of the clothing leaves something to be desired. Not at children’s place. I’m loving how durable it all is, and soft! In fact, as I was putting the PJs on my son tonight I wanted some in my size. He wasn’t willing to share though! heehee! They were just so soft!
We do Christmas PJs and watch Rudolf every Christmas Eve, so I was pretty excited to see these cute “best gift ever” PJs. So very appropriate for my first kiddo!
They had a lot of graphic t shirts for boys and girls. I appreciated that the sayings on the shirts were cute, not obnoxious. I didn’t see phrases that I felt were inappropriate for little children to be wearing, which is uncommon for clothing stores these days!
I didn’t get a photo, but one of my favorites was a little girl shirt with an owl on it that said “future genius”. I loved that they had options for little girls beyond “princess”. Yes, there were princess shirts, and we LOVE princesses in our house…I just don’t like when that is all that is offered to my girl. She can rock, she can be a genius AND a princess! I appreciated the variety!
Okay, but don’t get me started on their shoes. . . I’m already trying to convince myself that I don’t have baby fever. And then I walk by polka dotted baby girl shoes. Seriously children’s place. NOT HELPING! They had the cutest little sweater tuxes for baby boys and goodness if I wasn’t reminiscing to when my rambunctious 4 year old was tiny and let me cuddle him.
We had an amazing haul of clothes! 4 sets of PJs, five shirts, two pairs of pants, a headband and a pair of tights! All for just under $100 (before a coupon!). Y’all, you can find awesome coupons both in store and online PLUS they have a rewards program that will send you deals and help you earn coupons.
This is totally my kind of shopping, how about you?
Have you gone winter-shopping for your kids yet? If you have a baby will you PLEASE buy those polka dot shoes or a sweater tux and send mea picture??? haha I just have to see them on an adorable baby!
