Once pumpkin spice hits the market, we’re in full fall mode. And with that, so comes the ample of social gatherings; parties, picnics, and dinners oh my! With the flick of my whisk I’ve put together a couple of ghoulishly cute sweet treats to wow the kids (& PTA moms)
Franken-Krispies
These rice cereal based treat are a quick and easy treat, that even hot mess moms can pull off last minute. You can be like me, and buy the rice treat pre-made, or go the extra step and make them before hand.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Rice cereal treats (store bought or homemade)
- Green candy melts
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Candy eyes
- Writing icing
Next you’ll want to melt down the green dipping chocolate. I kept it simple and melted the chocolates in the microwave.
Place the chocolates in a microwave safe bowl and heat at 50% power for 30 seconds; take it out and give it a stir and continue to repeat this until the chocolate is completely melted. (I used half the bag and it covered 8 treats with a little leftover.)
Once the you have the treats and the chocolate melted you can start dipping. I grabbed one end of the treat and dipped it in the bowl of chocolate, using a spoon to help cover the sides and smooth it out.
With the treat freshly dipped, sprinkle on the “hair” and stick on the candy eyes.
I then used the icing pen to draw on a cute little mouth.
Now you have some spooktacular goodies, and it only took 20 minutes* time to complete.
*It took me about 20ish minutes from start to finish to make 8 treats*
Pairs great with one of our favorite Fall books, It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
