Have you ever had a freezer meal party? These parties are a great way to learn new recipes and stock up on meals that you can enjoy all month long.
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for KitchenIQ. I received promotional items to thank me for my participation.
Get a group of about 6 friends together to join you in your freezer meal plans. Everyone will choose their favorite freezer meal to cook. Make sure that you coordinate together so that you don’t end up with several people bringing the same favorite dish.
For a party of six your “menu” might look something like this
Prior to the party, each person will make and freeze their frozen dish six times. If I was bringing Pizza Pasta that means I’d make ahead my meal that many times and freeze it in different disposable baking dishes. On top of each dish, write the baking instructions for the meal so that every one knows what it is and how to prepare it when they get it home.
On the party day, each person brings 5 dishes (you can leave your sixth at home, that one is for your family!) in a cooler. Every one swaps their dishes around so each person goes home with 5 different meals. I came in the door with 5 frozen pizza casseroles, but I’ll leave with taco soup and more!
We’ve found it’s so much easier to make one dish multiple times, than it is to make many different meals all in one day. I love the once a month cooking method, but it’s hard to cook so many meals in one day. This gives all the benefit of that method, freeing up a lot of time for you, while also making your “cooking day” a lot easier too!
At the party, you can swap recipes and even cooking tips. Kitchen IQ is always a great place to start with cooking ideas. They have so many innovative tools. I love their potato tool because it washes, peels and cuts my potatoes all in one kitchen tool. It’s brilliant.
They also have an awesome edge grip knife sharpener that I got to try this week. LOVE.
For my party, Kitchen IQ sent me lots of extra zesters to give away to my friends. These are so easy to use, and I love that it catches and measures the zest as you use it! Non-stick food approved coating for smoother zesting and easier clean up.
After you trade dishes you could also bake something delicious like a lemon pie for dessert. It makes a good end to a long day of cooking!
